Professionally Guided Comfortable Camping

The safari begins from Maun, where your professional guide will meet you right from your place of accommodation or from the Maun Airport. What follows is a beautiful scenic helicopter flight that will take you over the Okavango Delta for some bird-eye views of the natural waterways, before landing at your riverside camp, located right on the edge of the Delta.

Once in camp, your guide will take you on a quick tour of the surroundings and show you your tented accommodation, which consists of riverside meru tents, beds (along with comfortable bedding) and private en-suite camping bathrooms.

The main area has a mini-bar available, where you can help yourself to any preferred drinks. Next sit back and watch as the sun sets over the hippo lagoon before a three-course, fire cooked dinner is served in the dining area.

We start your second day with hot water and coffee/tea delivered right to your tent, a "koko" wake up and an early breakfast underway.

Your day then consists of exploring the Okavango Delta by traditional mokoro and wildlife walking. From the base camp, the guide will drive you past the "Buffalo" fence and further on to the Ditshipi mokoro station, where you will meet a team of "polers'. the polers then take you and your guide out for a six hour combination of gliding through waterways and traversing the dryer areas on foot.

During this you will have a picnic lunch set up in a relaxed shaded area for some down time before continuing onwards.

Water levels permitting, the guide will try use a different route back to the station, where you will find the safari vehicle already waiting to take you back to the riverside base camp. Another sunset in paradise, hot water for your shower and scrumptious dinner to end the day.

Your third day begins with a more relaxed pace. Once again enjoy coffee/teas at your tent, followed by a cooked breakfast served at any time before 08:00. At 08:30 you depart from the riverside camp by safari vehicle into the Moremi Game Reserve for the next three nights. On your way we stop en-route at the Elephant Havens Wildlife Foundation, an orphanage dedicated to protecting and preserving the African Elephant.

After spending one hour at the orphanage, you then continue your way through to the Moremi Game Reserve, arriving at South Gate by midday. From there it is a slow drive through wildlife rich floodplains, a picnic lunch for a quick break and some more game drives before reaching camp around 17:30.

Once again you will find meru tents set up already and dinner preparations underway, as the staff would have arrived early to make sure everything is set for your arrival. Each meru tent will have an enclosure attached with a bush toilet and shower to ensure your own privacy in camp.

On your first full day in Moremi, you have an early breakfast and set out for a morning game drive with a packed lunch. At around 14:30 we take you on a two hour boat cruise from the Xakanaxa boating station. This combination of driving and then a boat cruise, allows for you to experience as much as possible of the Moremi landscape before heading back to camp for another evening surrounded by nature.
